Why Robots?

Our intelligent F1 robots, run by trained technicians, can normally clean a 1 MW array in 3 days. This is approximately 5 times faster than manual cleaning. However, the cleaning process of our robots has been optimised to deliver a smooth, consistent result across the full array – hour after hour, day after day. Using an intelligent robot and an automated process managed by trained technicians avoids the problems which inevitably arise with manual cleaning and the risk of human error.

Equally important, robot cleaning is safer: safer for the solar array, and safer for the operators cleaning it. The automated process means the operators can get the cleaning job done properly and quickly without the accidents which are often the cause of injury in manual cleaning operations.

Our robot’s sturdy tracks are mounted on rubber pads so they run gently on small and large panels and safely clean without damaging the surface. Our range of brushes is customised for the type of installation and the nature of the surface dirt and will safely clean without scratching the panel surface.

The robots are easy to move to new locations on site

The robots are easy to move to new locations on site, a task which can be managed by a single person. However, we normally operate in 2-man teams, which reduces the risk of damage to the installation or injury to the operators. At large scale, for solar farms or industrial installations, Solar Clean Asia's robots are the safest, fastest and most efficient cleaning solution.
